Decided to check out this tidal creek near Sydney in a hope of catching a midsummer bass. Wasn’t too sure if they gonna be at that particular section of the system or they have moved up much more upstream into a brackish water. Super busy weekend, lots people swimming, kayaking, rock jumping.
Did an overnight hike into the Blue Mountains with a hope of finding a trout or two. Unfortunately all we could find was a carp swimming in a clear cold mountain stream. Good fun sight casting to it though. Watching that thing eat a fly and landing it on a 3 or a 5 weight always gets the blood pumping.
Not a bad day chasing some rainbows out in Central West 2 hours drive from Sydney. I did not get a fish but Max managed to land a whopper. Some crazy weather about, quite cold in the morning and super windy on the lake, which made sightfishing a bit tricky. Good times
