Couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay than Streamcollect fishing lodge. Sato, being a chef himself, certainly knows how to cook up a feast. Some nights we would pop in to a local grocery store and get some local meats and cook izakaya

Not much to report on the recent trips to my local rivers. It got hot pretty quick this year, and those couple of trips I had into the mountains I didn’t have much success. Still nice to be out and about, stroll along the running river and have a sandwich while watching platypus play in the pool.

But last couple of weeks brought more rain than anticipated, so all major trout rivers in the Blue Mountains got flooded pretty badly. After waiting a few days for the water
This Easter break was pretty long, so having a few extra days for the trip it was a good chance to visit Snowies and see how rivers are fishing down that way. This time we headed down to the Geehi flats, which took almost 8 hours to get there including short stopover and grocery shopping. Campfire
