Last stop in Japan – a beautiful city of Sapporo with its breweries and then an arranged visit to meet a legendary rod builder Yasuyuki of Kabuto Rods. I’ve been following an amazing craftsmanship of Kabuto rods for as long as I can remember myself and able to go and meet Yasuyuki in person, and watch how the rods are being built, with the Japanese precision and attention to detail, felt quite surreal. A big thank you to Yasuyuki for being so welcoming, showing me around the workshop and explaining all things rod building related and even letting me play one of his Fender Strats from his personal collection.
