Back in November I did a thing and scooted over to Japan for a sightseeing and exploration type of holiday but also managed to fit a few days of fishing as well. First stop was Tokyo where the plan was to explore some cool cafes, restaurants and of course an incredible outdoor shops filled with Japanese style camping gear. After that I caught up with local legends – Hiromiki (the Perry Pork) and Martyn (flickinfeathers). Again, plenty of local food, beers, other kinds of drinks and a good yarn about flyfishing, life and everything in between. I left Tokyo and spent couple of days camping near Mt.Fuji before moving into Nagano Mountains (Japanese Alps) for some hiking. Here’s a gallery of photos from the first part of the trip.
