Fishing for trout in the Blue Mountains has been really challenging for last couple of year with bushfires and then floods hitting the region badly. After giving a bit of a break for a few months, I decided to give another go and go for a day trip to some of my favorite spots I used to go with my mates back in a day. I’ve been very curious to see how rivers are recovering from recent disasters as images I saw on social media and internet were quite shocking. To my surprise it’s all looking quite promising and recovering well. I even managed to find a couple little trout that were eager to take dries or nymphs. So fingers crossed these little guys will continue feeding and grow to a trophy size one day.
