For the next part of my Snowy Mountains trip I decided to drive over to the other side of the mountains and fish another beautiful river – the Thredbo. I fished it for couple of days but apart from couple of little trout to the net I didn’t have as much luck as in I had in the Eucumbene. Might have something to do with water being super clear and sunny skies. Weather got so warm it almost fell like summer sometimes, even though you could see some patches of snow on the top of the mountain range. Nevertheless had awesome time, and breakfast in one of Jindabyne’s cafes, alone worth a trip. Can’t wait until rivers open up again in October and trout will start feeding of the surface. Now’s time to start tying some dry flies and re-filling your boxes.
