Snowy Mountains on Film

Couple of months ago I was travelling through the Snowy Mountains region and fishing the Eucumbene and Thredbo rivers for the last time of this year’s trout season. At that timeĀ  I decided not only take photos on phone or a digital camera, but also bring film camera along and see how can I transfer Snowy Mountains scenery and nature vibes using this old school method – a film. I’m not gonna lie, I had few challenges along the way, definitely missed couple of good shots here and there, like sunsets and etc. But overall was quite happy with what I saw after I got my film back from the negative developer. I used Kodak Portra 800 film this time, which now I know is not a most suitable film for shooting landscapes and nature as it produces quite a bit of grain. Nevertheless, most shots turned out to be pretty good but there’s definitely some room for improvement. Next time I might give a go to some different type of film and see how this compares.
