Another trip out west, across the Blue Mountains, but this time decided to do an overnighter instead. We wanted to check one spot before the weather got ridiculously hot. It’s a section of the Fish river last time I fished it was probably 4 or 5 years ago. So we wanted to give it a good crack and in the end we had a pretty good day there. It was a long walk in so we made sure we brought enough refreshments and food. Again – fly of the day being a good old squirmy but this time in red colour. Got a nice brownie on a bright colour bead head pheasant tail too. Really really lovely day walking the river banks, finishing off with a few cold beers by the campfire. Can’t beat that.
Another trip into the hills
