This tiny river in The Blue Mountains has been on our minds for a long time. We’ve been told that it should hold good numbers of rainbow trout at this time of year and there’s a particular section of the river that is open to fishing all year round. The catch here is that it requires a long hike in. We decided that this is the year when we’re gonna do it so we packed our backpacks, tied a ton of flies and in the early hours of Saturday we set out to explore what the Blue Mountains rivers can offer. So let the photos speak for themselves. The fish were there, we saw a lot but caught only a few. Nevertheless that was a sensational weekend spent in the surrounds of the blue mist of eucalyptus trees, running creek sound and a smell fire going at night…Beats spending those couple of days in the big smoke any time.
