This was the only one trip I did this year to chase bass out of the packraft mainly due to most bass rivers being blown out this season. There was a window of a good weather at some point so I decided to bite a bullet and give it a go. There was a steep walk in and out to access the river and a hot humid weather didn’t make things any more easier especially when carrying a whole bunch of camera gear and a packraft in the backpack. The drift downstream was pretty nice and chill with a few fast rapids but fish were few and far in between. I think mainly due to to the constant flooding, bass were probably holding deep in the water column and not looking up for falling insects. Nevertheless pretty good trip and a nice way to explore the country.
