That’s that time of the year again. Winter. When Australian Salmon schools up and congregate closer to shore or in the estuaries in big numbers. Some places they are a bit harder to get on the fly, other places they’re quite easy. This was one of those days where we’re hooking into them every second cast. Very fun type of fishing, wading the flats on the sunny winter’s day in shorts. Casting across hundreds of fish, watching their fins sticking out of water and then fighting for your surf candy having a go at it in numerous times. I don’t mind this kind of saltwater action at all.
Winter Aussie Salmon. Again.
