Solo Grayling sessions

Back from the Scandinavian trip to motherland Lithuania, just couple days ago, I thought I’ll go check out my local river. I took a Euro nymph rig and a dry fly rod just in case. When I got to the spot I noticed a lot of fish rising so after nymphing one strech and catching couple of fish I thought there’s no point of doing that and use dry fly rod instead for more fun. Seeing rising fish everywhere explained why even on the nymph rig fish would bite only when you start lifting the fly through the water column during the last phase of the euro drift. Also explains why more buggy flies like pink tags were working really well. Anyway, Euro rod to the side and it was time for some dry fly show. One of the best sessions I ever had on that river, fun times.
