During my visit of the motherland Lithuania I had a plan to spend at least couple of days flyfishing for salmon. Met up with some old friends, tied a few flies right on the river and off we went. There was not too much activity happening (salmon tend to show themselves by jumping out of the water in the pool they’re staying) but we had information that people are catching a few fish here and there. We stuck it out for couple of days in the row without too much luck, and in times like these you can blame anything – clear skies, the low water, the wrong rig. Anything. But there’s always another year to try your luck on the massive size baltic salmon that we get here. A few pics below.
