After spending couple of sessions chasing Autumn grayling it was time for some big boys using double hander rods and fancy-ass flies. This was my second time trying to catch salmon, first time it was probably two years ago. That time I spent only a day or two doing exactly what every crazy fisherman decides to do when the salmon starts running up the rivers in Lithuania, but it was not enough. This time I dedicated a few more extra days of my holidays and boy I got rewarded. I had a few takes, hooked two fish and landed one. Not a bad result in such a short time, considering that I also spent some time fishing for grayling as well. Couldn’t be happier. Also just getting to hang out with my childhood friends all over again, or meet people who I only knew through the internet it was really fantastic. Already planning my next trip.
